Chéile Wellbeing adult mental health occupational therapy: a waterfall falling into a green, moss-covered glen in the West of Ireland

When everyday life starts to feel more difficult than usual, it can be hard to know where to start. At Chéile Wellbeing, I provide practical, person-centred support to help adults improve their mental health and wellbeing, particularly when life feels overwhelming, stressful or difficult to manage.

Is everyday life feeling harder lately?

Your mental wellbeing can affect so many aspects of everyday life, from getting started in the morning and maintaining routines to sleeping well, working, studying, looking after yourself and making time for the things you enjoy.

You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, burnout, overwhelm or low motivation. Or perhaps you feel stuck, emotionally drained or like you're struggling to keep on top of everyday life.

You might be finding it difficult to:

  • Establish a routine
  • Manage your sleep
  • Get started in the morning
  • Make time for your own wellbeing
  • Balance the demands of work, study, relationships and home life
  • Make time for the things you enjoy

You don't need a formal diagnosis to benefit from support.

Talk it through

Practical strategies that work for you

Mental Health Occupational Therapy (OT) can support you to understand what may be getting in the way of everyday life and find practical, personalised strategies that work for you. This might include support with:

  • Emotional regulation
  • Building routines
  • Managing stress
  • Improving sleep
  • Developing healthy habits
  • Increasing motivation
  • Finding ways to engage in meaningful activities that support your wellbeing

The focus is on translating understanding into practical, sustainable changes that support your mental health and wellbeing, and participation in everyday life.

Support for ADHD, autism and neurodivergent adults

Mental Health OT can also support individuals with ADHD, Autism and other neurodivergent presentations, particularly when difficulties in these areas are affecting daily functioning, independence or participation in the things that matter to you:

  • Executive functioning
  • Organisation
  • Planning
  • Time management
  • Task initiation
  • Emotional regulation
  • Sensory regulation

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day demands, struggling to manage your mental health, or finding that neurodivergent challenges are making everyday tasks harder than they need to be, OT support can help you develop practical strategies and make positive, sustainable changes that fit your life.

Turning understanding into meaningful action

Mental Health OT focuses on the connection between your mental health, your daily activities and the environment around you, helping you identify what is getting in the way and develop practical, achievable strategies that support your wellbeing.

Sessions focus on what matters to you, at a pace that suits you.
  • Goals that matter to you

We work together on meaningful goals and achievable actions, from coping skills and sleep to motivation and supportive routines.

  • A kinder voice

I draw on compassion-focused therapy principles to help you develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself.

  • Alongside other therapy

OT can complement psychological therapy, helping you translate its insights into practical changes in everyday life.

  • Change that lasts

Sustainable behavioural changes that fit into your life, preventing burnout and creating greater lifestyle balance.
